Methodology changelog

A dated log of every change to our scoring methodology.

Version 4.1 — October 15, 2026

Seven weighted categories, 100 points: pricing transparency 20, total annual cost 20, clinical oversight 15, pharmacy transparency 15, support 10, regulatory disclosure 10, accessibility 10. Total annual cost is now scored separately from price transparency, and regulatory disclosure is a category of its own. NexLife scores 94/100. Programs not yet re-scored keep their earlier status and are listed alphabetically after NexLife.

Version 1.0 — July 12, 2026

Initial methodology released: six weighted categories (clinical safety 25%, pharmacy transparency 20%, pricing transparency 20%, clinician credentials 15%, support 10%, consumer protections 10%), evidence ledger requirement, and the price-normalization formula.

How the dates on this page work. Manufacturer self-pay prices were re-read on 15 October 2026: NovoCare’s Wegovy page and Lilly’s Zepbound savings page. Foundayo prices are carried from LillyDirect pages archived 25 September 2026, because lilly.com blocked automated reads. Figures captured from telehealth provider websites carry the date we read that provider’s page, which may be earlier; where it is, the row or a dated notice says so. We do not restamp a figure we have not re-read.
